So in my class, Intro to Entrepreneurship, we have been asked to read and keep up with an entrepreneur blog from a list of 20 blogs. The blog I choose to read is written by Mark Cuban, the owner of the Dallas Mavericks.
Originally, I decided to read it because of my love for the NBA, but when I read the first post on the page today called, "Some Olympic Thought", it interested me a lot about Mark's ideas about business.
I knew he was a smart business man, but I never knew his thoughts about business. Even though this post isn't about business, it does have to do with money and a business of sorts, the Olympic Committee (IOC).
I agree wholeheartedly that Olympians should be paid more than they are. They train as hard as most athletes, like NBA and NFL players, but don't get compensated. In fact, the IOC makes over $1 billion annually... That is INSANE! And to think that for the most part that money is split between a very select few individuals! Split the money up! Share it with deserving individuals that actually work to earn the money, while you sit and reap the rewards!
