Week 12 Reflection

Probably the greatest thing I learned this week was WooRank. It was great to get an idea of things that I needed to improve my website to where it would be more user friend and SEO friendly. I never knew there was something on the internet that would rank my website based on certain criteria. When I start doing more of business stuff online it will be nice to use it to see where my website ranks more often and what I can do to make it better.

Week 11 Reflection

I am not going to lie, this semester is really starting to get to me. I haven't been able to be as proactive on my website as I had hoped when the semester started. I have had a lot on my plate and feel like I have not been able to do the things that I had hoped with my business. Between getting married next month and taking all online classes I have a full plate. But I am trying my hardest to get everything done to the best of my ability.

I feel like this week was good to learn about the importance of social media for businesses. It is essential for all businesses to utilize all the forms of social media so they can reach a wide audience. That is where a lot of business make their name, through social media.

Week 10 Reflection

This week we talked about Search Engine Optimization and how to get our websites noticed by various search engines. I kind of have a very basic grasp of this but this week was great learning how we can better attract customers to website. I think any business needs to have someone that is dedicated to doing this so that you can get the best traffic coming to your website as possible.

I hope to get better at this and eventually get more people coming to my website.

Week 9 Reflection

This week I was able to start an AdWords campaign for my website. It was an interesting experience and I am still working on getting it worked out properly so that way it will start generating customers and revenue. I think it will start to work out once the ads start running properly. Right now there is an issue with them not running properly and it is messing with the ad showing up at all.

Hopefully before the semester is over I can start to see more traffic coming to the website. That would really make me happy to see more people coming into the website.

Week 8 Reflection

This week was alright. I am slowly getting busier with school work and starting to feel the pressure from getting married and the end of the semester coming closer. But in class it was good to learn about quality score and installing Google Analytics. I am really looking forward to seeing the results I can get from using the various Google tools to drive more customers to my website! It will be a great test to see how well I can do.

Week 7 Weekly Reflection

This was a decent week for me. I was really distracted so I did not get much accomplished other then the basic homework assignments. It was cool actually writing an ad to eventually help drive traffic to my website. I liked learning about proper things to put in the ads to drive more traffic. I am really excited about this class, but I need to get better at posting on my website more so I can start driving traffic more easily. I also need to start working on the plays for the website. After all, that is the true purpose of my website to assist people wanting to coach basketball. So I plan on getting some of those up this next week.

Week 6 Reflection

This week was interesting. I enjoyed it a lot but I will see how it pans out. We learned about AdWords and how to define various key words that would be better then others. I enjoyed learning about both aspects and hopefully I will be able to work that in to my website to generate good traffic.

So far my website is doing alright. I haven't sold any products with my affiliate program. But it has been interesting to make the website and gain the experience. This is a good real life experience even if it is just part of a class. I mean we are ultimately starting a business. I look forward to every week in this class and hopefully will soon see results from my website.
