So for $100 Challenge in my Entrepreneur class, we are put into groups of about 4-5 people. And you have about 4 weeks to turn $100 into as much as possible by starting some sort of a business.
I have a few ideas and so does my team. But we haven't officially came up with a solid idea. We are talking about a business where we sell something. Well... What do we sell? What can we find that is reasonably priced enough that we can sell and make some sort of profit? That is where we are in all of this.
This will be an interesting assignment. Be sure to keep checking back for more updates about my teams progress!
Check out Oriental Trading Company - They have large lots of things like little toys (things you'd get at the dentists office) for low cost. Here's a link: http://www.orientaltrading.com/
ReplyDeleteThis is a really common experiment done at business schools. The biggest thing to realize is that your current budget ($100) is NOT the constraint. Your biggest constraint is time. The sooner you can get out there and start experimenting, the better. If you can afford it, take $11 and buy a copy of "What I Wish I Knew When I was 20" and read the first couple of chapters. They go into this exact same experiment and point out what other people have done in the past.
